At the University of Guelph, they care about your education; you will never be just a number.

How my Research will Improve Life...

My research aims to identify the underlying mechanisms behind neural precursor cell divisions in the developing brain. This may one day allow for a better understanding of the molecular causes of neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism.

Why I Chose Guelph…

During my undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, I was exposed to research through the Undergraduate Research Project. It was during this project that I discovered a love for neuroscience and neurodevelopment, which lead to my decision to continue the project into graduate school at the University of Guelph.

About My Advisor…

My supervisor is incredibly supportive, and is a great teacher. He has always provided me with great feedback, which allows me to continue growing as a researcher.

About the City of Guelph…

The City of Guelph is full of green space, trees and great local food. There are great bike paths, and a night-bus to get you home safe from downtown on the weekend! Guelph is truly an awesome community, and is incredibly student friendly.

Being a Graduate Student at Guelph…

Guelph is a tight-knit community. The departments have small amounts of graduate students, allowing for a lot of networking and support throughout your graduate journey.

My Future Plans…

I plan to go into industry, where I can use many of the experimental techniques that I have been exposed to here at Guelph.

About Campus…

The best part about Campus has to be the beautiful green space!

About Student Services…

I have used Co-operative Education and Career services and their resume editing. There are amazingly helpful resources across campus.
