Housing Options for Graduate Students

Graduate students can choose from a range of housing options, both on and off campus. On-campus options include apartments, graduate residences, and family townhouses, while off-campus options include shared houses, apartments, and other rental accommodations. As of 2026, new international graduate students in a master’s program are guaranteed university housing for the duration of their studies at Guelph. Recreation, Athletics, and Wellness

Graduate life at U of G offers many opportunities to stay active and connected. Students can take part in fitness classes, clubs, intramural sports, and varsity athletics. At the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre, you will have access to a wide range of facilities, including a twin-pad arena, dance studios, pools, a stadium, gyms, an indoor track, squash courts, a rock climbing wall, and cardio and strength training equipment.

Graduate Student Representation

All full-time or part-time graduate students are members of the Graduate Students’ Association. Whether in negotiations with university administration, participation on various university committees, or through interaction with other student organizations on campus, the GSA is making sure that the interests of graduate students are taken into consideration.
