Being a Graduate Student at Guelph…

It is so crazy and will likely be one of the busiest times of your life, but it will also be one of the most rewarding experiences.

Program(s)

Food Science / Food Microbiology, MSc

How my Research will Improve Life...

My research hopes to provide produce producers with methods on how to improve their food safety and prevent food borne disease outbreaks.

Why I Chose Guelph…

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph in microbiology, and I fell in love with the campus and atmosphere.

About My Advisor…

My primary advisor is Professor Warriner, who is well known in the food science industry. Despite this, he still always makes time for his graduate students, and has been an amazing mentor.

About the City of Guelph…

The people in Guelph are just friendlier than anywhere else! It is hard to explain unless you've experienced it. Everyone is welcoming, and it is a very accepting community.

My Future Plans…

I hope to enter the industry after graduation. I am confident in doing so, as the University of Guelph has given me the skills required to enter such a competitive marketplace.

Other Thoughts…

Thinking about graduate studies? Do it – you will have no regrets! People that share the same passion will surround you, and you will feel at home here.
