About the research…
Dr. Chiang specializes in environmental remediation, industrial waste valorization, wastewater treatment and green chemistry. Some of her
recent research projects include atmospheric carbon capture, phytoremediation of contaminated lands, microalgal treatment of industrial wastewater, and sorbent synthesis from industrial solid wastes.
How the research improves life…
Dr. Chiang's research solves environmental pollution problems through development of sustainable innovative technologies, reducing health risks associated with contaminants and protecting sensitive ecosystems. Finding better uses for waste streams and mitigating climate change will help improve life for this and future generations.
