My research attempts to improve the economic and environmental sustainability of pork production in Ontario and Canada, to support a vibrant and diverse industry that employees many people, which ultimately provides high-quality, safe, and affordable pork for us to eat.

Program

About my research…

My research program focuses on improving the sustainability of pork production using nutrition as a tool. Currently, I am examining low-environmental impact swine feed ingredients, identifying means to improve the value of feed ingredients, and using precision agriculture to better predict and meet the nutrient requirements of lactating and gestating sows using novel mathematical models and feeding technologies.
