About My Research...

“I am fascinated by rurally located places of destination whether they are premised on an area’s significant natural heritage, unique settlement pattern, abundant recreational offerings – places we typically characterize as resort environments. These places have brought benefits to many of our rural communities although in some instances have degraded rural econologies. My students and I work towards understanding how physical design and planning can ameliorate negative impacts on these rural environments.”
