Description of the Area/Topic of Research 

The main research area of our team is to use biotechnological and machine learning approaches to enhance animal fertility and performance.

Description of Lab/Group/Area 

Our research team is composed of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and professors. We are passionate about research and dedicated to using biotechnological and machine learning approaches to enhance animal fertility and performance. 

General Outline of Duties 

This is a cutting-edge project in which we collaborate with industry; therefore, there is a lot of opportunity to interact with industry partners. The postdoctoral fellow will play a significant role in a project, including experimental design, sample collection, DNA preparation, microbiome data analysis, design and optimization of rapid detection methods for bacterial genus/species identification, as well as manuscript writing.

Required Qualifications 

The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in the field of molecular biology/microbiology or reproduction, obtained within the last five years. An excellent publication record is desired. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. The individual is expected to conduct molecular studies and be able to work in an animal facility. 

Start Date & Duration of Appointment: November 1, 2025, for one year; renewal possible basing on performance 

Anticipated Hours/Days of Work (at time of posting): 7 hours/day, 5 days/week 

Salary Information 

Starting salary: $50,000 salary + $9,750 benefits (19.50% benefit rate) = $59,750 total
