How my Research will Improve Life…

My research forces industries to be more competitive, thereby pushing our society to evolve and advance quicker.

Why I Chose Guelph…

The University of Guelph offered me a generous amount of funding and a flexible completion time for my degree. The campus is also a great size with amazing people and green space. The impression I got from professors is that their interest is to teach us new content and techniques applicable to today's market. They seemed to be always available, even if you did not have a class with them, to answer your questions about academia, research, and life.

About My Advisor…

My academic relationship with my advisor was always strong. He was always looking to protect my best interests. Not only did he offer advice on how to proceed with my research, but he also offered advice on which courses and skills to add to my portfolio. He was always available for help.

Being a Graduate Student at Guelph…

The learning environment at the University of Guelph is incredible. Every student or colleague I encountered offered help and support in academia whenever needed. Everyone understood that as students, we needed to help each other with learning in order to succeed. Whatever challenges we faced in our courses and our research, we knew that other peers were interested in helping and learning about what we are doing.

Other Thoughts…

If you are thinking about graduate studies, come visit the campus and meet the professors. See and experience for yourself the learning atmosphere that exists in this University.

About Campus…

The new Athletic Centre is amazing. It is the best gym facility that I have been to in my entire life. I like how everything integrates together; the lounge area is near the rock climbing area, and the cardio machines are close the weight training and plyometric exercise area. Everything is open and not sectioned off into smaller rooms. It feels like every corner of the Athletic Centre allows you to interact with new people, regardless of the activity you are doing.

About Financial Support…

My advisor understood my needs and concerns and helped meet them.
