The programs within the College of Business and Economics are filled with knowledgeable, accomplished academics who are also nice people. Unlike some programs where graduate students are treated like they're just a number, at Guelph graduate students are treated like colleagues. It's a nice environment to be in while receiving a top-notch education.

About my research…

Dr Gruman's research focuses mainly on positive organizational psychology and socialization (on-boarding). He is co-developer of The Engagement Management Model, Socialization Resources Theory, and, along with his collaborator, was the first management scholar to develop a model of e-socialization - how information and communication technologies affect the success of on-boarding programs.

How my research improves life…

Dr. Gruman is the Founding Chair of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association, an organization dedicated to disseminating knowledge of the science of positive psychology and improving the lives of people in Canada and beyond. His research improves life by helping people and organizations better understand and implement positive psychology principles in order to build good lives and thriving organizations.
