Other Thoughts…

If I could speak to a prospective student, I would tell them that doing your graduate studies at Guelph would be the experience of a lifetime that will always continue with you as you progress through your career. With the excellent facilities on campus, no matter what your discipline, you will come out with not only the academic skills but also the social skills to excel in any workplace.

2018 Graduate – Chemistry, MSc

Why I Chose Guelph…

I chose to complete my graduate studies here at the University of Guelph because I completed my undergraduate degree here and fell in love with the campus, the people, and the atmosphere. I realized my passion for organic chemistry in second year, and after completing a research project, I knew I wanted to continue and pursue a Master's degree in this field.

About My Advisor…

My advisor was supportive and hands-on when it comes to solving problems, and is actually the reason I found my passion for organic chemistry. He was always available to answer questions and give guidance for how to progress to achieve the goals of my project.

My Future Plans…

After graduation, I am planning to go into the workforce and find a job as a synthetic organic chemist at a pharmaceutical company. Guelph has helped me reach that goal by giving me the necessary experience and skills that would make me competitive in the workplace.

About Campus…

The best thing about the Guelph Campus is its size. The campus has all the amenities, with many lecture halls, food places and services, without being too large. Since it only takes 10 minutes to walk from one end of campus to another, the whole campus feels like home, where you feel like an individual instead of a number.
