About the City of Guelph…

People are very friendly and kind, and respect each other's culture. I feel like I am at a home away from home. There is not the rush and noise that you find in most cities. Life is…perfect here.

Why I Chose Guelph…

University of Guelph is ranked as one of the top university in Canada with outstanding record of accomplishment in agriculture and applied science. This has an immediate and natural draw.

About My Advisor…

My Advisors are highly dynamic and are talented with multi-level exposure to different national and international organizations throughout the world. They are full of new ideas and initiatives, which encourage me to learn and achieve more in my field. They are easy going, supportive and encourage me to achieve excellence. They always provide positive encouragement, and challenge me to do something great, which really motivates mw to work hard and achieve more like them.

Being a Graduate Student at Guelph…

It is as if you dive into a pool of opportunity, and it is up to you to take on as many opportunities as possible. Life as a graduate student is filled with excitement. Every month I am full with readings and assignments, and even though it sometimes feel like I will read forever, there is always time to escape. Students are first priority, which I like the most.

My Future Plans…

I am a developmental worker and after my PhD, I continue to work in the same field focusing on less developed countries. Guelph helped me to get a higher level of knowledge in research, development, and communication. This is also a platform to network with like-minded scientist and researchers in my area.

Other Thoughts…

So many opportunities exist in Guelph. You will get opportunities to work with highly experienced professors, with wider level of exposure and lots of funding support. There are plenty of support from the library in terms of language improvement, readings and all. There will be workshops to improve your sharing and networking sills, and after school, activities or sports to keep you refreshed.
