About my research…

My research interests are the abolition of capital punishment in the US and internationally, how to minimize the use of force by police in their dealings with persons with mental illness, the impact of social contact with marginalized persons on participant's prejudice towards those individuals.

How my research improves life…

All of my research is intended to promote the interests of marginalized individuals (i.e., the condemned, persons with mental illness, and the socially marginalized who may not have a voice for themselves).

Why choose U of G grad studies…

The CJPP program at the University of Guelph is unique in so far as it is a collaboration between the Departments of Political Science and Sociology and Anthropology. As a result, students are exposed to a diversity of ideas about the causes and cures of crime.
