Advice for future graduate students...

If someone were thinking about graduate studies, I would tell them that it is important to gain education, but it is also just as important to gain experience. Fortunately, the University of Guelph gives you the chance to do both of these things at the same time.

Why I Chose Guelph…

When I discovered the program, I was immediately interested in learning more. I researched the program and faculty, and learned about the opportunities for gaining experience from it. When I went to the campus, I also could not help but notice how friendly everyone is at the University of Guelph.

About My Advisor…

My relationship with my advisor was very good. He was always available when I needed it, and he offered advice and direction when required.

About the City of Guelph…

Everything! There is a lot of nice cafés, restaurants, and even more activities to do over the summer time. The city – as a whole – is very kind and is a pet-friendly city. There are water dishes for dogs at shops all across downtown!

Being a Graduate Student at Guelph…

It is a big responsibility, and no one will tell you that it is easy… but it is totally worth it. The University of Guelph is also unique because the professors are actually interested in the well-being of their students. The positive impact that this has for students does not go unnoticed - the university faculty and staff are always active in and out of the classrooms.

My Future Plans…

Guelph helped me gain more experience and knowledge, and I am hoping to continue teaching.

About Campus…

My favourite part about Guelph campus was how there were so many activities to do around campus, and all the services that were available to make life as a student easier.
