About the research...
I study the human side of the hospitality industry, exploring workforce sustainability, talent management, and the various dimensions found therein, including motivation, empowerment, commitment, and culture. My research style shifts to explore interesting questions, employing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies that best unpack the human experience.
How my research improves life...
The hospitality and tourism industry is one of the largest employers in Canada, with 1 in 10 workers finding jobs in this field. My research helps the industry to better address the key needs and drivers of talent so that they can find and keep great staff. For workers in our field, my research provides a voice for them to share what is important and valuable to them in great employers, setting the stage to help improve lives.
