Arthur Richmond Memorial Scholarships Deadline

Established in memory of the late Arthur Richmond (OAC '23), horticulturist and teacher. Full-time master's students up to semester six and doctoral students up to semester nine in one of the following programs: Plant Agriculture, Integrative Biology, Molecular & Cellular Biology, or Environmental Sciences. One award each year is reserved for a student in the Plant Agriculture (Horticultural Sciences) program.

Alastair Summerlee Scholarship Deadline

Established by students, alumni, faculty, staff, retirees, volunteers and friends of Alastair Summerlee who made contributions to an endowment to honour and recognize his terms as President of the University of Guelph. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate student contributing to civil society through international field work that is part of a course of study and preference is given to students working in Africa.

Ghanimat Azhdari Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Ghanimat Azhdari, a PhD student in the Department of Geography, Environment, and Geomatics. Ghanimat was a first-year student from Iran who perished in the Iran plane crash in January 2020. She was an Indigenous person who was born into the nomadic Qashqai tribe in southwestern Iran and as such had a very strong personal relationship to her ancestral territories in Iran.

Milad Ghasemi Ariani Memorial Scholarship Deadline

Established in memory of Milad Ghasemi Ariani, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies. Milad was a first year Ph.D. student from Iran who perished in the Iran plane crash in January 2020. Milad’s leadership with other Ph.D. students was outstanding. Students must have completed an application for admission along with a one-page research statement to the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (grschol@uoguelph.ca) by March 15.

Arrell Graduate Scholarships - Deadline to Submit Remaining Application Components

Internal Guelph Deadline: There are TWO deadlines that applicants must meet in order to be considered for the Arrell Graduate Scholarships: 12:01 AM February 22, 2022: Deadline to submit a completed application for admission to the graduate program in which the applicant intends to enroll while holding an Arrell Scholarship 12:01 AM March 3, 2022: Deadline to submit all other completed components of the scholarship application

Fred Thompson Scholarship Deadline

Established in memory of David Frederick (Fred) Thompson, 1920-2005, who for 40 years was the Secretary of the Canadian Dairy and Food Industry Supply Association. Selection will be based on a combination of academic achievement and relevance of proposed research and its application in industry or the community.
