About my research…

My research focuses on the ecology and epidemiology of vector-borne zoonoses. I apply a One Health approach,
working collaboratively at the intersection of human, animal and environmental health.

How my research improves life…

My research addresses animal and human health risks associated with emerging and endemic tick and mosquito-borne diseases. By learning more about the ecology and epidemiology of the vectors and pathogens, we gain a better understanding of risk to humans and animals and use this knowledge to implement appropriate preventative health measures.  I regularly engage with veterinarians, public health and the public to translate this knowledge into action.
