About my research...

Research interests include comparative epilepsy, electroencephalography, translational genetics of neurologic disease, neuroimaging, and 3D medical modelling. Active projects examine details of canine electroencephalography and epilepsy syndromes.

How my research improves life...

Epilepsy is a very common neurological disease in dogs and people, having significant impact on the quality of life of those living with the disease. What we learn about epilepsy in one species may help the other; therefore, improving our knowledge about canine epilepsy has ramifications for improving quality of life for both species.

Why chose grad studies at U of G?

My research program offers hands on experience in veterinary clinical research, having immediate visible impact on the practice of veterinary medicine, with translational implications for people living with epilepsy.
