“I am interested understanding the ways in which the relationship between parents and teens evolves over time. I have interviewed mothers and fathers together with their sons and daughters about how they take advantage of more limited time together to build on what works between them, as well as using time apart to enrich and shift their relationships. Currently, I am talking with Arab immigrant families about their experience of parent-teen relationships and the time that they spend together and apart with a particular view to the influences of broader social systems.”
